Vijayawada: RTG intervention hits administration work
Vijayawada: The frequent intervention of the Real Time Governance (RTG) administration, into the regular affairs of the district revenue administration has widened the gap between the bureaucracy and the government, with the result that the functioning of several divisions in the district administration have slowed down.
In issues like pensions and ration, MDOs and civil supplies officers are being targeted by RTG personnel. For instance, even as the district officials are clearing up pending cases relating to ration and pensions and marking them as ‘closure' in the dashboard, the 1100 team from RTG have been calling up the beneficiaries to find out whether their issues have been addressed.
Pensions and ration have been issues addressed only in Janmabhoomi program. However, the RTG CEO Mr Babu Ahmed has reportedly posed queries to the district administration and these developments have landed the district administration into trouble. Mr Babu A is handling RTG, APIIC and Fibregrid as Chief, said an MDO and added that because of Mr.Babu's tendency of postponing matters, things are not taking a proper shape both in ration and pensions issues.
The intervention of RTG personnel in civil supplies affairs is also becoming a cause for concern for the department, said a senior officer of the department. The gap between the RTG and the district administration, is not desirable, said another senior employee of the revenue administration.
