Report on resort today, minister's office denies leave plans
Thiruvananthapuram: Transport minister Thomas Chandy, who has been undergoing ultra sound and laser therapy and also radiation for lymphoma for the past many days, is likely to go abroad for treatment.
Though there were reports that he had applied for 15 days’ leave from November 1, the minister’s office denied it.
As per reports, Mr Chandy, who faced allegations of land encroachment, would be flying abroad for treatment even as Alappuzha district collector T.V. Anupama was planning to submit to revenue minister E. Chandra-sekharan a report on the encroachment issue on Thursday. The minister’s office said that he had not submitted any letter to Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan seeking leave. It was true that there were problems on his right shoulders due to the disease.
