New roads to link mandals, Hyderabad soon

He said the R&B department had 5,107 km of roads, of which 905 km were national highways.

Hyderabad: Roads and buildings (R&B) minister Tummala Nageswara Rao on Wednesday said the government would develop 3,963 km of roads to improve connectivity between the headquarters of mandals, districts and the capital.

He was reviewing the Bangaru Telangana Rahadarula Abhivruddi Karyakramam (TRAK, or Road Development Programme for Golden Telangana) with Road Development Corporation chairman T. Narsa Reddy, R&B principal secretary Sunil Sharma, Engineer-in-Chief Ravinder Rao, Director General of National Academy of Construction K. Bikshapati and consultants.

He said the R&B department had 5,107 km of roads, of which 905 km were national highways. He said that the RDC would take up the works under Public Private Partnership (PPP), External Aided Projects (EAP) and other programmes.
