Hyderabad: An investigation into the suspicious deaths of five members of a family at Narsingi has revealed that Prabhakar Reddy, one of the victims, owed several people money. The police are trying trace the person he spoke to in the days before his death.
A senior police official from Cyberabad said, “He borrowed money from many people to invest in the stock market. We have sought details of his demat account to find out how much he lost in the business.”
The police say that as of now, they know that Prabhakar owed people at least Rs 3 crore; the investigation is ongoing. A team has been dispatched to Muthangi, the place where Prabhakar’s phone was last active before it was switched off.
Meanwhile, the forensic experts, in their preliminary opinion submitted to the police, say that it appears to be a case of poisoning.
The Narsingi police say that apart from the viscera, a cake, a water bottle, and another bottle containing a so far unidentified substance have been sent to the forensic laboratory for analysis.
