Hyderabad: The deal was struck between T. Maruthi Rao and Mohameed Bari. Earlier, they made two attempts to eliminate P. Pranay Kumar and they succeeded in the third attempt.
In the first attempt, they planned to eliminate Pranay near a beauty parlour. They thought that Pranay would come alone to pick up Amrutha Varshini from the beauty parlour. However, their plan failed as Pranay came along with his brother, Ajay, to the beauty parlour. They got confused between the brothers and dropped the plan.
In the first week of September Maruthi wanted Pranay killed. Both Asgar Ali and Subash Sharma came to Miryalaguda but were in an inebriated condition and so dropped the plan.
On September 14, on receiving credible information, Subash waited inside the hospital. At 1:40pm, when the couple came out of the hospital, Subash appro-ached the victim from behind and hit him on the head with a machete. Even as Pranay collapsed on the ground, the accused struck him a second time resulting in his death.
