18.5 lakh persons have votes in both Telangana and Andhra Pradesh

In 51,603 cases, the voter's name, house number, age, and gender are the same but father or husband's name is different.

Hyderabad: The names of 19.64 lakh voters across 31 districts of the state, especially of fathers and husbands, have been misused to create duplicate/fake voters’ list. Secondly, the names of 3.48 lakh genuine voters have been interchanged. For example, Priyanka Mula becomes Mula Priyanka to create the fake ID. In total, personal details of 30.13 lakh voters in Telangana state have been hijacked to create fake IDs and if this is not rectified it could change the fate of candidates in the ensuing elections.

An analysis of duplicate votes across 119 constituencies revealed that 40,108 voters have two cards (i.e., one person has two votes using the same voter ID). In the case of 41,328 voters, the father or husband's name, house number, age and gender are the same. ‘ In the case of around 23,198 voters, the father, husband, house number, gender are the same but the age factor is different. In 1,464 voters, the father, husband, house number, and age are the same but the gender is different.

In 51,603 cases, the voter’s name, house number, age, and gender are the same but father or husband's name is different. In 4,42,446 cases the father or husband's name, house number, age, gender are the same but the voter's name is different format. In 3,48,742 IDs voter name is interchanged. For example, Priyanka Mula and Mula Priyanka).

In 19,64,230 cases, the voter’s name and father or husband’s name are the same and other fields are different. Some 18,50,511voters have votes both in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh states. Fifteen voters registered with the EC show the voter’s age as being above 2,000.

For example, voter Bepasha from polling booth Jayanagar — Bowenpally — Secunderabad Cantonment (house no X1-05-039) has 2017 as her age. Ashok Ravula from Bapuji nagar (house No: X1-09-149) is shown to be aged 2017. Opposition Leader Marri Shashidhar Reddy, who informed the EC of the duplicate votes, said, “There are at least 30.13 lakh duplicate voters on the rolls published by the EC on September 10.”
