Hyderabad: An octogenarian was killed and four others sustained injuries when an RTC bus hit the car they were travelling in, at Hayathnagar on Monday.
The victim was identified as R. Ramarao, while one Eshwar Reddy sustained severe injuries and is in coma now.
According to police, R. Nageshwar Rao along with his father and relatives G. Eshwar Reddy, K Harshith Patel and P. Venkata Narsamma, were returning to Hyderabad from Kodad when the mishap occurred.
The bus was taking a U-turn when it hit the car, resulting in the driver losing control and hitting a tree. Passersby rushed the victims to a hospital, where Ramarao was declared brought dead.
Other passengers who sustained injuries are said to be out of danger. A case was and efforts are on to trace the bus driver.
