Uppal and Habsiguda: Road widened, it's of no use

The widened stretch of road is not serving the intended purpose with the roads getting damaged frequently.

Hyderabad: Travelling from Secunderabad to Ramanthapur via Uppal and Habsiguda are turning worse with loose gravel adding to the problem of potholes. Waterlogging adds to the problem. The widened stretch of road is not serving the intended purpose with the roads getting damaged frequently.

The travel time from Secunderabad to Uppal, which used to be about 30 minutes when these roads were widened, is more than an hour due to the bad road condition. It takes longer when it rains not only due to waterlogging but also the potholes.

Road conditions at Mettu-guda, Tarnaka and Habsiguda Crossroads too have become worse due to the recent rains. Potholes slow down traffic on the busy Habsiguda Street No. 8, which links the area with Ramanthapur.

Despite this road being laid and re-laid multiple times in the last two years, most recently before the GHMC elections in January this year, it continues be a nightmare for commuters.
