Kochi: The medical panel constituted by the District Medical Officer (DMO) to look into the death of medico Shamna Tasnim will hold its first sitting on September 27.
Apart from the DMO Dr N.K. Kuttappan, a forensic surgeon and a Government Pleader will comprise the medical panel. Dr Kuttappan told DC that the District Court had been approached to appoint a government pleader and a forensic surgeon from the Alappuzha Medical College will also join it.
Dr Kuttappan also said that an anaesthetist would be invited to the panel to consult on, among other things, issues of resuscitation. Either Dr T.P. Vijayan or Dr G. Manoj, senior general medicine consultants at General Hospital, Ernakulam, will be the general medicine expert on the panel.
