Amit Shah tells Telangana BJP not to spare TRS

He told them that he will make frequent trips to the state as part of strengthening the party.

Hyderabad: BJP national president Amit Shah on Sunday asked the Telangana BJP leadership to organise more meetings and rallies on all public issues to strengthen the party for the 2019 general elections.

Before catching the morning flight to Delhi on Sunday, Mr Shah met BJP state president Dr K. Laxman and BJP Legislature Party leader, G. Kishen Reddy for half an hour at the Airport lounge.

He told them that he will make frequent trips to the state as part of strengthening the party and also direct central ministers to make visits regularly in order to instill confidence in the BJP cadre.

He told them to be available for the party national executive meeting scheduled to be held on September 23 and 24 in Kerala to draw up more plans to strengthen the party in Telangana.

He instructed them not to spare TRS criticism, highlight public issues and gave a green signal to take up more issues against TRS misrule. Speaking to this newspaper, Mr Kishen Reddy said that as per the directions of Mr Shah, the party will chalk out more agitations against the TRS government in future.
