Hyderabad: The GHMC instructed city florists to not use plastic in bouquet manufacturing. The civic body has instructed that they seize if plastic is found in any official function. The civic body officials held a meeting with about 500 florists in the city and instructed them to not use plastic below 50 microns to wrap bouquets.
A senior GHMC official said that the city florists were asked to stop bouquet wrapping with the plastic and replace it with the bio-degradable material. He said that if plastic wrapped bouquets were found in any of the official programmes the civic body will also impose the fines on the event managers and cancel their trade license .
