Hyderabad: Man sleeping on Metro median killed
Hyderabad: A 52-year-old man who was sleeping on the median between the Metro Rail pillars at Khairatabad was found murdered on Sunday morning. The police suspects that family disputes could be a motive behind the killing and registered a case of murder for the investigation.
According to a Saidabad police official, the victim was identified as N. Bangari, a labourer from BJR Nagar in Chintalbasti, Saifabad.
On Saturday night, Bangari and his wife Chandi quarrelled over a petty issue and she went to the house of her relatives who reside nearby.
After some time, Bangari, who was drunk, also left the house and slept on the median close to Pillar No. 75.
On Sunday morning, the sanitation workers of the GHMC noticed the body of the man with a head injury and alerted the police.
Saifabad inspector Ch Saidi Reddy said “It is suspected that family disputes could have led to the murder of Bangari. He was hit with a cement brick on his head while sleeping.”
