Bengaluru: A Rajasthan-based businessman was found brutally murdered at his residence on Sunday morning near Bhashyam Circle in Rajajinagar police station limits.
Rajajinagar police have suspected foul play on part of his 15-year-old daughter and her friend, a college student. The cops explain that, the murder was made to look like a case of death due to accidental fire.
It is suspected that the killers have stabbed Kumar to death. Later, they had dragged him to the bathroom and set him ablaze.
The incident came to light at 10.30 am when neighbours called the fire control room noticing the smoke. Later, the businessman was found with burn injuries, excepting his hands.
Rajajinagar police rushed to the spot and found foul play after preliminary investigation. Blood traces were found in the bedroom floor. They also found that the businessman’s daughter and her friend had sustained burn injuries.
The businessman’s daughter is found to be repeatedly changing her version. On top of it, the police have found that the killers have attempted to destroy the evidences.
The 41-year-old businessman lived in a posh house. He had sent his wife and son to attend a family function in Tamil Nadu. He was with his daughter. Sources explained that they were not convinced with the daughter’s version. Investigation is on.
