Lucknow: The Lucknow bench of the Allahabad High Court has stayed the proposal of former chief minister Akhilesh Yadav to construct a heritage hotel at Vikramaditya Marg, a high security zone. A division bench of Justice Vikram Nath and Justice Abdul Moin passed the order while hearing a PIL filed by local lawyer Shishir Chaturvedi. Mr Shishir Chaturvedi said that he was being threatened because he had filed the PIL and the court asked the government to provide him security if required The petitioner sought quashing of the change of land use thereby permitting construction of hotel in the area.
