Vijayawada: Chief Secretary Sameer Sharma to conduct a meeting with the secretaries from all the departments along with legal officers including advocate general, government pleaders and assistant GPs to discuss on pending legal cases in various departments and efforts to resolve them in the High Court and other courts at Secretariat on July 20 at 3 pm.

Though the secretaries’ conference on legal issues was scheduled to be held on July 15, it was deferred as the Chief Minister Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy called for an emergency meeting to discuss the heavy rains and Godavari floods situation in the state.

In the wake of senior officials facing contempt of court proceedings and pending of several legal cases in the courts, the CS called for a meeting. Moreover, the CS will also discuss the recently launched AP Online Legal Management System to find out whether the departments were uploading the court cases on the system on a regular basis and also whether proper monitoring of legal cases was taking place.
