Vishakhapatanam: The number of Covid19 recoveries is higher than of new infections in Andhra Pradesh. While 2,974 new infections were registered in the past 24 hours across districts, there were 3,290 recoveries.
As many as 1,05,024 samples tested in the state, of which 2,974 tested C-positive. AP tested a total of 2,35,93,05 samples so far. Seventeen new Covid19 deaths were registered in the state, taking the C-toll so far to 13,132.
The cumulative C-positive cases were 19,40,096, of which 19,02,256 have recovered from the pandemic. There were 24,708 active Corona positive cases in 13 districts.
The single-day highest Corona deaths, five, were registered in Prakasam district followed by three deaths each in Chittoor and Krishna districts, and two deaths each in Anantapur and East Godavari districts. One each death was registered in Nellore and Visakhapatnam districts as per the daily list.
The highest number of Covid infections was reported in East Godavari district, 577, followed by 501 infections in Chittoor, 349 in Prakasam, 311 in Krishna, 282 in Nellore, 280 in West Godavari, 179 in Guntur, 120 in Visakhapatnam, 106 in Kadapa, 98 in Anantapur, 73 in Srikakulam, 65 in Kurnool and the least number of 33 infections in Vizianagaram district.
The East Godavari district is on top in the state in cumulative Covid19 cases, with a total of 2,73,142 infections, followed by 2,27,087 in Chittoor, 1,67,387 in West Godavari, 1,66,119 in Guntur, 1,55,578 in Anantapur, 1,51,001 in Visakhapatnam, 1,31,400 in Nellore, 1,26,655 in Prakasam, 1,22,859 in Kurnool, 1,19,952 in Srikakulam, 1,09,084 in Kadapa, 1,05,836 in Krishna and 81,101 infections in Vizianagaram district.
