First batch of Haj pilgrims reach Madina

Haj Committee chairman Mohammed Masihullah Khan flagged off the first batch of 423 pilgrims at Haj House.

Hyderabad: The first contingent of Haj pilgrims reached the holy city of Madina on Thursday. Their flight was delayed for four hours. Home minister Mahmood Ali inspected the Haj camp on Wednesday night and handed over travel documents to the pilgrims.

Pilgrims of four districts of the Hyderabad-Karnataka region embarked on the pilgrimage from the Shamshabad airport at 11 am. Haj Committee chairman Mohammed Masihullah Khan flagged off the first batch of 423 pilgrims at Haj House. All travel documents including boarding passes were handed over to the pilgrims at the Haj camp in Haj House. The departure of other pilgrims from Telangana state, Andhra Pradesh and Maharashtra will start from July 26.
