Hyderabad: Telangana State Pollution Control Board (TSPCB) on Wednesday warned companies operating in industrial estates across the state of stringent action if they pollute the environment.

TSPCB officials conducted sudden raids at the industrial estates in Nacharam and Mallapur in the city and inspected the working condition of pollution control equipment.

TSPCB secretary P. Satyanarayana Reddy said, “We have been receiving several complaints from local residents against pollution caused by industrial units. We have found that particularly the pharma units in Nacharam area are polluting the area. We have constituted seven teams of environmental engineers and scientists. Based on inspection reports and lab analysis, we call the managements of polluting units for a hearing before the taskforce committee before taking action,” he said.

The officials on Wednesday inspected companies including Intonation Research Lab, Clearsynth, Srini Labs, GRK Labs, Vagdevi Inno Science, GVK Bio and Inogent labs.
