Hubballi: Nearly two months after the CID gave a clean chit to former excise minister H.Y. Meti in a sex scandal, the woman involved in the episode, Vijayalaxmi, has resurfaced and threatened to make public all corruption scandals at Ayush hospitals, where she was working, if officials failed to reappoint her in her post.

Stating that she has all relevant records of irregularities within the department, she has set Wednesday as deadline to get her job back. But she refused to react to the clean chit given to Meti and claimed that she will reveal everything at an appropriate time.

Meti was found himself in the sex CD with the woman, who had alleged that the former minister had sought sexual favours in return for her transfer or regularisation of her post. The Congress leader had to step down from his ministerial post soon after the video went viral. Later, the woman had backtracked from her statement and lodged a police complaint against four people, including the former gunman of Meti for allegedly threatening her to give the statement against the senior Congress leader.

The CID had exonerated the 71-year old Congress leader of all charges, citing that the man in the CD cannot be conclusively identified as Meti and also no complaint had been lodged against him.

The woman, who visited Ayush hospital in Bagalkot on Tuesday, alleged that District Medical Officer Maheshwar Guggari has looted lakhs of rupees by creating false bills. She was working as an attendant on contract basis at the Ayush hospital and had gone absconding for the last eight months ever since the sex scandal broke out. She was suspended from service as she had taken unofficial leave. Now, the woman claims that she remained absent because of health issues and a family dispute.

“I have suffered mental trauma in the entire episode. Officials should provide justice to me by returning my job at the Ayush hospital. Otherwise, I will disclose all scandals involving medical officials,” she warned.
