Govt schools unprepared for physical classes: Teachers' body
HYDERABAD: Even as detailed guidelines for reopening of government and private educational institutions in the state are awaited, the Telangana State United Teachers Federation (TSUTF), a government teachers' body, has said that government schools were not prepared to commence from July 1.
In a statement here on Saturday, the Federation members, while welcoming the decision to resume physical schooling, also pointed out that most schools lacked basic infrastructure and July 1 was round the corner.
"No action has been taken to fill vacant teacher posts and there is an urgent need to appoint staff to maintain sanitation in schools," they said.
The teachers' body demanded that the government should urgently restore educational volunteers and concentrate on providing quality mid-day meals in all government schools.
