The procurement of raw coconut will be initiated at the earliest.
THIRUVANANTHAPURAM: Agriculture minister V. S. Sunil Kumar on Tuesday informed that the Government has decided to procure raw coconut at Rs 27 per kilo gram through 900 societies and cooperative agencies under the Kerafed. The decision was taken at the high-level meeting which was also attended by Finance minister T. M. Thomas Isaac and Co-operation minister Kadakampally Surendran.
The procurement of raw coconut will be initiated at the earliest.
The high level meeting has also decided to hold a symposium on Value Added Products of coconut in August.
