‘Save Bison Ground’ activists celebrate

Many Hyderabadis took to social media to congratulated the activists.

Hyderabad: The state government’s decision to build a new secretariat at the site of the old one brought smiles to those who were part of the ‘Save Bison Polo Ground’ crusade.

Ms Gulshan G. Bamboat and her who sent 1,000 signatures to the PMO to save the ground, “We are very glad that sense has prevailed. We hope that the ground will be developed into a forested area and the sports facilities will be kept going.”

She hoped the government would not spend too much on the new Secretariat. “Where will the debris of the demolished buildings be dum-ped? Don’t channel it to the lakes,” she said.

Sainikpuri resident Kush Bandari said, “It’s due to the blessings of the Almighty and the support and untiring efforts of many people who spent a lot of time and took pain.”

Many Hyderabadis took to social media to congratulated the activists. “Big victory for those who crusaded for #SaveBisonPolo Grounds. (sic) said Hi Hyderabad.
