Bengaluru: Woman hides drugs in sanitary pad, held

The NCB sleuths initially detained the woman based on the information that she was carrying drugs and going to Doha.

Bengaluru: The Narcotics Control Bureau (NCB) sleuths have busted a gang involved in the smuggling of drugs to Gulf countries and arrested six people.

The smuggling ring was busted with the arrest of a woman and three others who were accompanying her to Kempegowda International Airport.

The NCB sleuths initially detained the woman based on the information that she was carrying drugs and going to Doha. The woman was subjected to checking and the NCB sleuths found contraband concealed inside sanitary pads.

The interrogation further led to the arrest of her two handlers, Abu and Mohammed, who were operating from an apartment on Lindon Street in Austin Town. They both hailed from Kerala.

NCB sleuths found 510 grams of methamphetamine and 572 Lyrica (sedative) capsules concealed in sanitary napkins. The officials raided the apartment and found 2.58 kg of hashish oil, 13.68 kg of hashish, 330 grams methamphetamine, 9.05 kg of marijuana and 4014 lyrics capsules.

The other four people hail from Kerala from New Delhi and Goa. All the six were produced before the 33rd Additional City, Civil and Sessions Court in Bengaluru on Monday and arrested.
