Hyderabad: DSC-1998 candidates detained
These candidates had taken the district selection committees exam in 1998 for the post of secondary grade teachers.
Hyderabad: As many as 300 DSC-1998 candidates were arrested while holding a silent protest near Pragathi Bhavan on Sunday. They had gone to seek an appointment with Chief Minister K. Chandrashekar Rao to tell him that they had waited nearly two decades for their recruitment letters.
These candidates had taken the district selection committees exam in 1998 for the post of secondary grade teachers.
Mr K. Srinivas said, “the government should give us appointments. Mr Rao had promised to provide us jobs but it remains unfulfilled. So we went to Pragathi Bhavan to seek his appointment were detained by the police.”
