CBSE ties up with Google to make viewing results easy
Bengaluru: CBSE students, awaiting results this year, will get them online faster than before. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has tied up with Google to ensure that students get their results directly on the search engine. With the new system, students, parents and teachers do not have to visit official portals to get the results.
Siddharth, a CBSE student awaiting his class 12 results, students had been asking for such a facility a long time. "When I was at home checking my Class 10 results, the website crashed twice after I entered the credentials and I still remember how tense those five to ten minutes were," he said.
Welcoming the move, M. Srinivasan, president of the Managements of Independent CBSE Schools Association (MICSA), said, "This will help students, parents, teachers and school managements. It will make the entire process hassle-free."
The same system was used as a pilot to announce the results of Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Mains by the CBSE on April 30.
While Class 12 results are expected by May 28, the Class 10 results will be out by the month-end, sources said. This year, 28 lakh students from across the country and centres outside India appeared for the board exams.
