Chennai: In the wake of students awaiting their class 10 exam results to be released on Friday, 104 Helpline has taken it upon themselves to provide psychological counselling, in a campaign, to students and parents.
The campaign, which began on Thursday evening, is expected to continue until Saturday evening. “If required, we will extend special counselling until the call flow gets stabilised,” said Prabhudoss B., head, marketing and hospital relations, GVK EMRI which operates the 104 helpline.
Though the helpline’s general counselling will serve to continue as usual, a few extra psychologists have been deputed to handle calls pertaining to the exam results alone.
“Totally, we will have eight psychologists round the clock, apart from paramedics and doctors. It is a 50-member team,” said Prabhudoss, adding that calls have already started pouring in and is expected to peak by Friday morning.
