Nishith Narayana accident case: Mercedes team visits mishap spot

The team inspected the vehicle and will submit a report to the police team investigating the case.

Hyderabad: A team of experts from car maker AMG Mercedes visited the spot where the SUV driven by AP Minister Narayana's son Nishith Narayana had the accident in which he was killed. The team also inspected the vehicle damaged in the crash at the showroom. Police said their investigation will proceed based on the team's report.

A team of 10 technical and legal experts from Germany, Hong Kong, Mumbai, Pune and Chennai visited the site where the SUV crashed into a metro rail pillar in Jubilee Hills and later went to the showroom in Bowenpally where the vehicle was kept.

The team inspected the vehicle and will submit a report to the police team investigating the case.

Earlier, after the accident, Hyderabad police wrote to the car manufacturer to clarify on a few issues regarding how the accident could have occurred and what could have been the speed of the vehicle, the speed of the vehicle in such a crash, the connection with the seat belts and air bags. Police said they are awaiting a report from the car maker. West Zone DCP A. Venkateswar Rao said police teams visited the crash site and inspected the damaged vehicle. “We are awaiting a detailed report from Mercedes,” the DCP said.

In the crash early on May 10 Nishith Narayana and his friend Kamani Rajaravichandra were killed when their SUV Mercedes AMG G 63, which Nishith was driving, crashed into a Metro pillar.
