Bengaluru: Traffic diversion at Banaswadi flyover

The work is expected to be completed on May 25 and till then the traffic movement on the flyover will be completely prohibited.

Bengaluru: The traffic police have suggested alternative routes around the Indian Oil Corporation (IOC) Flyover in Banaswadi traffic police station limits, as the BBMP is taking up flyover resurfacing work from Saturday.

The work is expected to be completed on May 25 and till then the traffic movement on the flyover will be completely prohibited. The following alternate routes have been recommended.

Vehicles moving from Ramamurthynagar, Chikkabanasawadi, Kasturinagar can move from Outer Ring Road towards Uttam Sagar junction and negotiate a right turn to reach 80 ft. road and via Kuvempu Road reach Hennur main road and further proceed towards Shivajinagar.

Vehicles moving from Ramamurthynagar, Chikkabanasawadi, Kasturinagar from Outer Ring Road can move towards Babusapalya via Kalyananagar and Kammanahalli and take a left turn at Hennur Junction to join Hennur Main Road and via Lingarajapuram flyover reach Shivajinagar.

Vehicles from Frazer Town, Shivajinagar, Ulsoor need to move towards Frazer Town Traffic Police Station and take a left turn to reach Hennur Main Road and at Jyothi School Kacharakanhalli, take a right turn and move on Nehru Road and Kalyana Nagar 80 ft. Road to reach Uttam Sagar junction. At Uttam Sagar Junction take a left turn to reach Banasawadi main road.

Vehicles from Pulikeshinagar, Shivajinagar, Ulsoor can take a left turn at Jeevanahalli Cross and move towards the Banasawadi Police Station road and reach the Janaki Ram Layout and move towards the Kammanahalli main road and then to reach the Nehru Road and via Kullappa circle join 80 ft. road Kalyan Nagar-Uttam Sagar Junction left turn to join Banaswadi main road.
