Hyderabad: The TS Housing Board is coming out with a unique initiative of selling plots and independent houses besides flats.
The board took up an extensive survey to find out where there is huge demand for plots and independent houses. It was found there is demand for independent houses in Pocharam, Bowrampally in city and in Warangal, Nalgonda and Adilabad districts, while there is good demand for plots in Red Hills, Chintal etc, where TSHB has significant chunk of lands.
The board holds land to an extent of nearly 2,000 acres in the entire state. Of this, around 1,500 acres are available on city outskirts in Ranga Reddy district which command huge real estate value. The board wants to develop plots and independent houses on these land parcels and sell them to buyers for competitive rates.
The board is now in the process of assessing the value of these land parcels to determine how much it can earn through sale of plots and independent houses and which would be profitable among sale of plots and independent houses.
Out of 1,500 acres available on city outskirts, around 600 acres were already allotted to various projects in Undivided AP, of which most of them either are yet to take off and halted midway.
The board now wants to give a relook into these projects and come out with new ventures to cater to the present day demand. The board also owns around 500 acres in Warangal, Adilabad, Nalgonda and Mahbubnagar districts, where there is demand for plots.
