KRISHNAGIRI: In a tragic incident, a 17-year-old girl committed suicide by hanging herself in her home after she failed in two subjects in the Plus-Two exams released on Tuesday.
Police said M.Manjula of Balaji nagar in Zuzuvadi of Hosur in Krishnagiri was found dead in her house. Her body was found hanging from the ceiling of the house, which indicated the girl has committed suicide.
Investigations revealed that Manjula, who studied Plus-Two in the Hosur government girl’s higher secondary school, was upset after the examination results were released on Tuesday. She had failed in two subjects’, economics and commerce.
Worried Manjula committed suicide by hanging herself in her house when her parents were at the relative’s place by after having left her to stay alone in the house.
The Zuzuvadi police recovered the body of Manjula and that was sent to the Hosur government hospital mortuary for post-mortem.
