Woman murdered by live-in partner in Hyderabad's Shantinagar, accused on the run

Hyderabad: A 32-year-old woman was murdered by her live-in partner at her house in Shantinagar under Meerpet police station limits.

According to police, the accused P. Prakash on Tuesday night broke open the bathroom while the victim E. Renuka was inside and strangled her to death with a rope. After murdering her, Prakash fled the scene.

Reunka was married to E. Lalu 12 years back. After Lalu died of ill health three years back she was in a relation with the accused Prakash for the past nine months, police said.

Prakash suspected that Renuka had an affair with another man and murdered her, police said. Renuka is survived by her five-year-old son and seven-year-old daughter.

Meerpet police registered a case of murder under section 302 IPC and are making efforts to nab the accused.
