Congress to hold meeting on quota cap on April 25

Hyderabad: With the aim to take forward Rahul Gandhi’s message who has demanded removing the 50% per cent cap on the reservation and releasing of caste census data by the Union government, former MP V. Hanumantha Rao has called upon the BC communities in Telangana to expose the BJP-led Modi government’s failures.

He said that the Congress will begin a campaign on April 25 to reach out to people across the state.

Speaking to media persons, Hanumantha Rao said that given the stance taken by the party at the national level, the state Congress leaders will also campaign to unite the BCs.

“We will decide on the plan of action in the meeting to be held on April 25. As part of the campaign, Congress will expose the Modi government which has failed to fulfill its promises. Rahul Gandhi has taken up a stance in this direction and in Telangana also, this is a major issue,” he said.
