Vijayawada: Preparations for APOSS test reviewed

Mr Imtiaz said that five flying squads will monitor the examinations.

Vijayawada: Collector A. Md. Imtiaz on Thursday directed officials of the district education department to ensure that all arrangements are made for the AP Open School Society examinations, scheduled to start on May 1.

Mr Imtiaz asked the officials to keep the rising temperature in view while making arrangements. He was addressing education, electrical, transport and postal officials here where he said that the examinations will be held from 9.30 am to 12.30 pm from May 1 to 8. He said that this year, as many as 3,774 students appeared for the APOSS Class X and 4,046 for Intermediate examinations.

The authorities have arranged 14 examination centres at Nandigama, Nuzividu, Vijayawada, Gudivada, and Machilipatnam divisions and also deployed 14 chief superintendents and 14 departmental officers, 9 custodians for each section of Intermediate and Class X.

Mr Imtiaz said that five flying squads will monitor the examinations. He directed the officials to arrange medical camps and asked APDiscom officials to ensure continuously power supply at the time of examinations.

He also directed the police to shut down photocopy shops near the examination centres.
