A crown and a medal to encourage students to vote

Going by Prof. Devata H N G, secretary of the Noble group, its students and staff reached out to over 5000 voters across Bengaluru South.

Bengaluru: As voter drives go, this one was certainly different. The Noble group of education institutions on Thursday “thanked” Bengalureans for voting and doing their duty to the country by honouring them with a medal and a scholarship of Rs 2,500 each. The lucky recipients were in Bengaluru South.

The institute’s volunteers visited booths across the constituency thanking voters and handing out medals with a polite, “ Thank you for Voting.” Not stopping there, each voter was crowned.

Going by Prof. Devata H N G, secretary of the Noble group, its students and staff reached out to over 5000 voters across Bengaluru South.

"This drive is intended to help people become responsible citizens. It is driven more by our students, who have teamed up to bring social change. After all , you should vote to make your voice heard. Your opportunity to vote gives you the power to choose the most suitable candidate to run the country and also decide who represents your city. So we are happy that our students and staff have done this. To encourage young voters, scholarship vouchers were given in terms of admission, because if money is handed over it will make us no different from a political party," he explains.,

The Noble group’s attempt was well received by the people. “I am voting for the first time today and I received a scholarship voucher from Noble College. I lost my father two months ago and this scholarship will certainly help me continue my studies" said Roopa S, who has done her pre-university and is looking forward to higher education.
