Chennai: Lashing out at the Cauvery protesters, especially director Bharathiraja and Seeman of Naam Tamilar Katchi, for targetting the Centre, BJP state president said the likes of Bharathiraja and Seeman are utilising the Cauvery issue to settle personal scores.
Pointing out that there was no justification in involving Tamil superstar Rajinikanth with the BJP by calling him the “saffron messenger” BJP state president Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said Bharatiraja and even Seeman were only highlighting their personal issues under the guise of staging protests for Cauvery Management Board.
“Cauvery issue is being politcised and being used for their personal gains. Vested interest is spoiling the development in Tamil Nadu. Youth are with the BJP and Prime Minister Narendra Modi,” Dr. Tamilisai said and added that there is no justification in blaming the Centre on the issue. “These parties have no other (developmental) issues to highlight,” she said.
Deploring the “negative political domination” in Tamil Nadu, Dr. Tamilisai Soundararajan said her BJP stood for development and the youth in TN appreciate the BJP with national outlook and having concern for TN. “The BJP had already made it clear that it would not act against the interests of Tamil Nadu on Cauvery. The Centre will amicable resolve the issue,” she added.
