NEET 2018: Possession of barred items can lead to action
Hyderabad: Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) authorities have announced a strict dress code for the forthcoming National Eligibility Entrance Test (NEET) 2018, scheduled for May 6. The board has already uploaded the admit cards for the test at www.cbseneet.nic.in.
According to instructions from CBSE, should any candidate be found to be possession of any barred item, s/he will be considered to be using unfair means and action will be taken in accordance with relevant provisions.
Candidates without admit cards will not be allowed entry, and they must also carry a recent passport-size photograph for verification.
Entry to the centre will begin at 7.30 am. and invigilators will check admit cards from 7.30 am to 9.45 am
No candidate will be allowed entry after 9.30 am. Test booklets will be distributed at 9.45 am. and the seal may be broken at 9.55 am.
The examination will commence at 10.00 am and conclude at 1.00 pm.
Speaking to the media, Mr Kumar Veeramallu, dean, Chaitanya Educa-tional Institutions, said, “Owing to increased awareness about electronic devices, CBSE has issued strict instructions in order to avoid malpractice.
However, the board should create more awareness about the dress code for the examination in order to avoid last-minute mistakes by students, sending personal emails in cases found necessary.”
