Hyderabad: Citizens can now register for summer coaching and book a slot to play their favourite sport. The Greater Hyderabad Municipal Corporation (GHMC) would procure sport equipment based on online registrations that will minimise the role of middlemen and ensure transparency.
This follows after the success of online registrations for booking corporation sports facilities wherein the number of online registrations made for sports facilities and swimming pools were 10,359 and 5,459 respectively. In this view, online registrations are being introduced for summer coaching camps and 259 people have registered for the camps that will begin from May.
As a second phase reform, online inventory module has been introduced for ensuring transparency and accountability in receipt and dispatch of sports equipment.
According to the GHMC officials, the games inspector will raise the requisition and send the same to the deputy commissioner for his/her approval.
The deputy commissioner will verify, recommend and forward the same to the zonal assistant. The zonal commissioner will approve and after this, the same shall be reflected on the screen of the store incharge.
The store incharge will do dispatches as per the requirement of the games inspectors.
