Hyderabad: The Lions Club, which is celebrating its 100th year, has approached GHMC seeking to help out in the creation and maintenance of parks.
GHMC, however, does not want to hand over existing parks to the club and has agreed to give them about 50 open spaces owned by it for development and maintenance. Within a week, the vacant spaces owned by the GHMC will be identified and handed over to the club for construction of parks. The civic body would hand over 50 open plots for the creation of parks. Lions Club would be investing nearly Rs 2 crore for this project.
