YS Vivekananda Reddy’s close aide appears in Tirupati

Parameshwar Reddy alleged that “insiders from the family” were behind the murder of Vivekananda Reddy.

Tirupati: Kusunuri Parameshwar Reddy, said to be a close associate of murdered YSRC leader Y.S. Vivekananda Reddy, turned up at a private hospital in Tirupati on Monday. He had reportedly gone missing from the time of Vivekananda Reddy’s murder.

Speaking to mediapersons, Mr Parameshwar Reddy alleged that “insiders from the family” were behind the murder of Vivekananda Reddy.

“Vivekananda would have become more powerful if Y.S. Jagan Mohan Reddy is voted to power, as he would have got a Cabinet birth for sure. As Vivekananda Reddy’s popularity was rising, insiders from the family might have killed him. It’s not easy to murder a strong leader like him, unless with the support of some insiders”, he alleged.

Mr Reddy claimed that Vivekananda Reddy had held a meeting with his associates some time ago to “ask us our opinion about his future course in politics.”

“He told us that Y.S. Sharmila had requested him to contest from Kadapa. He had refused and asked Sharmila or Vijayamma,” he said. “He asked us whether his reply to Sharmila was right or not. The terms between them were healthy and happy,” Mr Parameshar Reddy said.

Car driver Prasad, whose name was written in his last letter by Vivekananda Reddy, was a close associate of the leader, he said.

“He would be definitely innocent and had nothing to gain from Vivekananda Reddy’s murder,” he said.

“I don’t have any enmity with our leader, I’m his disciplined follower and I have no involvement in his murder.”.
