Tirupati: The processional deity of Lord Malayappa Swamy, accompanied by Sridevi and Bhudevi, took celestial ride on float on Monday evening in Tirumala. The third evening of Srivari annual Teppotsavams witnessed the deities taking three rounds on Teppa (Float).
As part of the annual festival, earlier in the evening, the processional deities were taken around the four mada streets encircling the holy shrine in grand procession before reaching the Srivari Pushkarini (Temple Tank). The devotees were enthralled by the beauty of the Lord and his two spouses. TTD EO Anil Kumar Singhal, Temple DyEO Harindra-nath were present.
Meanwhile, in connection with float festival on March 20, TTD has cancelled the procession of Pournami Garuda seva. On the fourth and fifth day, Lord Malayappa Swamy and his consorts, seated in the float will go round on all sides of the temple tank. In five and seven rounds on March 19 and 20 respectively.
