Does K Chandrasekhar Rao fear Harish Rao may expose his scams, alleges TD leader
Karimnangar: The District unit president of the Telugu Desam (TD), Ambati Joji Reddy on Monday alleged that Chief Minister K. Chandrasekhar Rao who termed Karimnagar as ‘Laxmigadda’ in his meeting on Sunday, did not speak anything about what development he did for the place which is lucky for him. TRS leaders in the district must feel ashamed of it, he added.
Speaking to the press, Mr Joji Reddy said that the TRS has wasted public money by holding the meeting on Sunday. In addition it also violated the Model code issued by Election Commission.
He said, “Without completing the irrigation projects taken up and solving the water woes of the state, Mr Rao is talking about national politics and issues. He should first check his ability to enter national politics before criticising the parties”.
When other parties are wary of joining hands with the TRS, how can Mr Rao get 150 Lok Sabha seats to play a key role in national politics?
Mr Joji questioned, “What did he do when he was a Union minister? Is it not true that the provident fund scam took place under his tenure as a Union minister?
“Why has Mr Rao kept Harish Rao in the sideline? Does he fear that Mr Harish Rao may expose the scams that may exist in the irrigation projects if he continued being irrigation minister?”
Mr Rao criticised the Congress, saying that the party is family ruled, what is the TRS party then? “Mr Rao boasted that the TRS is number one and the state has a surplus fund, then why did he garner `2.75 lakh crore debts in just five years?” Mr Joji added.
Mr Joji said, “A person who did not even get an appointment with Prime Minister Narendra Modi is criticising the Prime Minister. Everyone knows the secret understanding between the BJP and the TRS, people are not fools to believe what Mr Rao says.”
Mr Joji said that to raise issues and question the government, there has to be an Opposition. The TD is extending support to the senior Congress leader and Karimnagar Graduate MLC candidate T. Jeevan Reddy.
Mr Joji appealed to the graduate voters to cast their vote for Mr Jeevan Reddy and elect him with good majority.
