Bengaluru: A three-year-old girl was killed, while her father escaped with injuries after they skidded off their speeding bike at Kogilu Junction at Chikkajala traffic police limits on Sunday night.
The police said the deceased, Himanshi, was riding with her father Rakesh Verma, a resident of Belehalli. Rakesh is a building contract worker and was returning home when the accident took place.
Around 11 pm, Rakesh, who was speeding, lost control of the vehicle. Both fell on the road, and Himanshi, who was sitting in the front, sustained severe head injuries. She was rushed to the Yelahanka Government Hospital where she died. The police said that Rakesh, who has sustained injuries, is being treated at the hospital and said to be out of danger.
The Chikkajala traffic police have registered a case and are investigating.
