Karunanidhi raises queries over OPS
Chennai: DMK president M. Karunanidhi on Friday raised questions over the media reports on O. Pannerselvam, who is the number two in the Cabinet. The senior AIADMK leader, who was Chief Minister twice, has come under cloud following allegations of collecting money from partymen to ensure tickets to contest the forthcoming Assembly elections. Karunanidhi also named a few other ministers who are allegedly under scanner.
It may be recalled that in recent months, Chief Minister J. Jayalalithaa had been firm in taking action against party senior leaders, district secretaries and ministers, if they were found to be at fault.
Through her action on former ministers B.V. Ramana and K.A. Sengottaiyan, the AIADMK chief had affirmed that nobody would be spared if they indulge in wrongdoings.
