Karimnagar: An aspirant for the police constable post, Vadlakonda Mamatha, 21, of Velishala village died while participating in the 100 metres running event as part of the physical tests at the Police Training Centre on Monday.
Mamatha had qualified in the 100 metres running event but she developed fits.
It was said that she fell unconscious as her heartbeat increased abnormally while she participated in the event and was immediately shifted to a Government Hospital where she passed away while undergoing treatment.
She belonged to Velishala village in Ramadugu mandal and was the elder daughter among the three daughters in the family. Her father is an auto driver.
Karimnagar police commissioner V.B. Kamalasan Reddy went to the Government Hospital where Mamatha’s body was kept and inquired about the mishap and consoled Mamatha’s family members and promised possible help to the family.
