Kakinada: DIG visits Agency police posts

Meanwhile, District Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni reviewed crime control efforts on Monday at Kakinada.

Kakinada: Eluru Range DIG C.M. Trivikrama Varma paid a surprise visit to the agency police stations of Chinturu Sub-Division where he inspected security aspects and issued necessary instructions.

He also visited Edugurallapalli armed outpost and interacted with the personnel. He issued necessary instructions to officers regarding the forthcoming elections and need to ensure smooth conduct of the exercise. CRPF DIG Dinesh Singh, Chinturu OSD Amit Bardar, Rampachodavaram OSD K.Chakravarthi and Chinturu DSP O. Dilip Kiran were present.

Mr Varma also visited Rampachodavaram Sub-Division area where he interacted with the personnel. Rampachodavaram ASP Rahul Dev Singh and others accompanied him.

Meanwhile, District Superintendent of Police Vishal Gunni reviewed crime control efforts on Monday at Kakinada. He also conducted a day-long awareness programme on election process. He said that the police personnel should follow instructions of Election Commission adding that police officials should take steps to see that voters are able to exercise their right without any fear and tension. Police should take responsibility in this aspect.

He said that the police personnel should act without showing any partiality. If any officials fails to perform the assigned duty or not following the election commission instructions, he would be transferred or suspended according to the severity of the crime. He said that he along with other police personnel would make 'Palle Nidra' (sleeping at nights in villages) to encourage people to exercise their right without fear during elections. Mr Gunni said that special combing operations were being taken up in agency areas to curb Maoist menace and also organise joint operations with cooperation of other states.
