Bengaluru: Man thrashed for bid to abuse 15-year-old girl
Bengaluru: A 26-year-old man, who was allegedly trying to sexually abuse a 15-year-old minor, was caught red-handed by the public, thrashed black and blue and later handed over to the Rajagopalnagar police, on Monday morning at Laggere.
The accused, Naveen, is a resident of PC Nagar and an employee of a factory in Peenya area. The police said that Naveen was harassing the victim for the last several months and had been trying to convince her by offering to buy her a mobile phone.
On Monday morning, he went near the victim's house and demanded sexual favours from her, when her mother caught him red-handed. The victim's mother had a heated argument with him and he allegedly passed lewd comments against her too.
The people, after hearing their arguments, thrashed him and approached the Nandini Layout police. The public was asked to reach out to Rajagopalnagar police as the incident took place in their limits. The police said the victim's parents are not ready to file the complaint yet and they are convincing them to file the complaint to teach him a lesson.
