Thiruvananthapuram: CPM State Secretary Kodiyeri Balakrishnan has said that action will be initiated against any party worker who is found to have involvement in the murder of Youth Congress activist Suhaib.  Mr Balakrishnan's statement came in wake of photographs of the accused in the case posing with top leaders of the CPM being leaked.

The murder was not planned or executed with the knowledge of the party, said Mr Balakrishnan. The party leadership had always been opposed to political murder. If any activists were involved in the case violating the party stand he would have to face action. The murder was deplorable. Let the police be able to arrest the real victims, said Mr Balakrishnan.
