Mangaluru: Dakshina Kannada has declared five new COVID clusters. Of the five one is an old age home, two schools, and two hostels.
Health department officials said that eight students of a private school at Bajpe and seven students of a government school in Bengre tested positive. All are between the age group of 12 and 18 years.
An old age home in Bondel has been declared a cluster after 13 tested positive. The officials had tested 52 inmates.
Twenty cases were found in a hotel of Private Ayurvedic college in Mangaluru taluk. A ladies hostel in Bantwal taluk was declared a cluster after 8 tested positive.
