Kozhikode: Carnival to aid palliative care

A large number of people from different parts of the state attended the event.

Kozhikode: A three-day carnival of multi-entertainment events began at the Institute of Palliative Medicine (IPM) located near Kozhikode Government Medical College here on Friday to raise funds for the palliative care patients.

A large number of people from different parts of the state attended the event.

Baby Fathima, an active member of IPM and a volunteer of the carnival, said that the event was a unique experience.

“We were exposing ourselves to the world of art, music, food and literature,” she said. Several entrepreneurs have displayed their products to help the IPM, she added.

A few stalls were set up by the members of palliative care and their skills learnt during their course of palliative treatment were on display.

Handcrafted works, including dress materials and show pieces and food specially prepared by IPM members were some of the highlights.
