Irrigation is top priority, K Chandrashekhar Rao tells officials
Reviewing the progress of various projects in the state in a high-level meeting at Pragathi Bhavan.
HYDERABAD: Chief Minister K. Chandrashekhar Rao on Friday instructed the officers concerned to expedite the work on irrigation projects aimed at watering 1.25 crore acres in the state at an estimated cost of RS 2.25 lakh crores.
Reviewing the progress of various projects in the state in a high-level meeting at Pragathi Bhavan, the chief minister made it very clear that there was no greater priority than providing water for irrigation for the Telangana farmer and also there was no dearth of funds for construction of projects. The government would clear bills from time to time as and when they were due.
